Day 8: Travel from Tsumago to Kanazawa by train

Today we’ll travel to Kanazawa. The afternoon is free so we can have some lunch and get our bearings.

Day 9: Arts and crafts in Kanazawa

Today we’ll have a privately-guided half day introduction to Kanazawa's unique arts and crafts scene. We'll have the opportunity to try authentic gold leaf painting and also silk screen printing. We’ll witness the process of kimono decoration, called kagayuzen.

Whilst in Kanazawa we’ll try and visit the Kenroku-en Garden, take a stroll around the Samurai quarter and perhaps visit the Omi-cho market.
